​​​ILLINOIS FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT


The Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140/1 et. seq.) requires that all municipalities and other public agencies, such as the City of Vienna, make readily available a directory of public records maintained within an organization, the methods by which to request records, to include designating public information officials. 

Freedom of Information Request 

Written requests can be submitted to the City by personal delivery, mail, fax or other means available, including email. The City will honor verbal request to either inspect or copy a public record, however, to assist in the request for public records the City has a standard form.

Requests for public records will be handled during City Hall's normal business hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday

 from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. 
Thursday  from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
